Europacom's Intelligent Network Management Solution (INMS) manages connectivity and the remote smart active monitoring of end-user devices, be they for example routers, IP phones or Wireless Access Points.

This centralised management platform has advantages as follows:

• The deployment of an estate of users is managed by an Auto Configuration Server (ACS) on an accurate and automated basis, removing the opportunities for configuration error.

• Service templates are deployed to centrally manage estate-wide configuration settings - not just initial settings but also for rapid implementation of changes to service settings or firmware upgrades

• If any local equipment changes or tampering are made, original settings get automatically re-applied, ensuing security policies can be maintained for PCI DSS compliance. Authorised changes can therefore only be done in a controlled centralised manner

• Inventory management and control of assets is kept on a centralised database in line with real time changes

• Once deployed, smart agent technology installed on the equipment regularly "calls home" and informs the host systems of any critical changes in sensitive operating thresholds. Active monitoring of this system ensures that any problems create service alerts that can be identified and remotely rectified at the earliest opportunity

• Fast deployment of hardware without the need for expensive engineering visits
