Europacom and TCG Tasked with meeting the future plans of a particularly forward-thinking and agile business, Europacom had to put in place a solid telecommunications infrastructure and meet the many technological challenges that TCG had inherited with some of their estate.
Past problems, future plans Like many in the hospitality sector, TCG needed new ways to enhance the customer experience. That challenge was passed on to Europacom. We were to implement an improved voice and data network for an immensely varied estate. Many sites lacked sufficient records and information, and contributed to the many faults being reported every day. Beyond that we were to deliver the technology that would turn TCG’s vision statement to be ‘the fastest moving business in our chosen markets’ into a reality....
What we did first … After a communications audit of TCG’s estate, Europacom provided the customer support – and took responsibility – for resolving the inherited problems. Then Europacom oversaw a full migration to a new network, managed through the ATLAS Portal, Europacom’s sophisticated online provisioning and estate management software. With Atlas providing unrivalled visibility and management of the network, we moved on to provide the extra services, including Aphelion and BroadlySpeaking that were to boost operational effectiveness.
What we did next … The installation of a Broadband Wireless LAN by Europacom has resulted in many different benefits, including cost savings through efficiency, removal of redundant lines and better administration and support. TCG now use WiFi access for Chip & Pin ‘pay at table’ handsets and ‘public hotspot’ Internet access – and VoIP services that have dramatically cut call costs. The same network has opened the door to the innovative applications – such as gaming and multi-media entertainment – that enhance customer loyalty and improve income generation. Full Case study……
